Mitzi and Frederick the Great

Mitzi McAllister feels very grown-up about spending the summer on an archaeological dig with her mother and stepbrother Frederick. But she soon feels let down, since all the adults are busy exploring the Indian ruins, and are so tickled with "Frederick the Great." Why doesn't anyone notice her, or care about the strange creature she saw? It could be a tyrannosaurus rex!

Mitzi wants to have more fun, but there are too many rules to follow and remember. And no matter how hot it gets, scaredy-cat Frederick would rather read than take his chances swimming in cold water. Mitzi's sure she's the brave one—until the tables are turned.
