For citizens of the Hybrid Nation, life is all about balance. Each hybrid possesses a predator side and a prey side. Their peaceful society depends on the equal integration of both. So for the few unlucky children to be born all prey, the only safe solution is life in an institution. When Free Denver police officer, Joll Warren, arrives at the atypical facility, he comes face to face with a repressed memory even uglier than the murder he's been sent to investigate. One dark secret leads him to the uncomfortable truth about his family's past. Joll races to find the answers, but even if he succeeds, the truth might never set him free.
