Their only evidence is a diamond wristwatch inscribed with her name and address, which was found at the scene of the crime. She is refused permission to make a telephone call and is whisked off by car to a police station in the Midlands. Next morning her friend RAF Warrant Officer Blood, followed in quick succession by Cedric, Bunty and Inspector Maltby of Easter CID arrive at the station to assist in her plight.
