Miss Abishag Gets Married

My name is Abishag du Preez. I am a woman. Once upon a time I was born as a little girl. Then through the development of events beyond my control I became an orphan. Later I married a man to become his wife. With time I took two lovers, perhaps three, I never counted for fear it would make a neurotic out of me. My taking of lovers I can truthfully state was consequential to my nerve wrecking marriage into a pathologically unstable family. Much later on I gave birth to two sons. This event presented me with the taste of motherhood. A rather muted experience. Admittedly there were times I hated my sons. Even experienced indifference. The two boys reminded me of my concealment of the truth surrounding their conception.
