Miri's Inheritance

Miri is homeless, jobless and abandoned by her fianc̩. To her surprise a lawyer's letter informs her that her grandmother Рwho she didn't know existed Рhas left her a cottage. Gavin, the lawyer, helps her settle in and sign all the necessary documents and then becomes a friend to Miri.

Soon after she moves in an unknown person repeatedly breaks in to search Miri's new home. Who is this person and what are they searching for? Can she ask Gavin to protect her now his official duties are over?
