When I find the large, injured dog on the stoop of my shop, blanketed with snow, my biggest fear is that my apartment will be too small for him. Unable to bring myself to leave him at a shelter, I have no choice but to bring him in—until I find him a good home, of course.

And that's where things get strange.

First, he avoids a trip to the vet with almost supernatural stubbornness.

Second, his injuries disappear sooner than they should.

And then…

Is it possible my new pet is cleaning my house? Something strange is happening. And when I set up a camera to see what's going on, strange doesn't come close to describing what I witness. What I see isn't my rescued dog—not a dog at all. That's…my naked ex-boyfriend straightening and dusting, and my new pet is nowhere in sight.
