Mended Wheels

Carol Pine and her golden retriever, Prince, have been together for four years, living in a small house on a tree-lined street in Columbia, Missouri. Prince is a wonderful companion, but Carol is lonely. Her job as a graphic designer and her involvement in church keep her busy, but she longs for the love of a caring man.

Each time Carol meets an interesting guy, something stops the relationship from going forward. That something, Carol knows, is her wheelchair - necessary since she was born with spina bifida.

It isn't until Lorenzo Martinez steps into her life that she thinks her dream might come true. She wonders, though, why such a handsome, compassionate man would want to be with her when he could have his choice of any woman. Only in the pain of loss - and in sensing God's great love for her - does she find the answer to her questions.
