Exhausted Maggie Stewart's doctor had advise her to spend the summer back home in Minnesota, far from Washington, D.C., where Maggie worked as a trade negotiator.

Her vacation proved thoroughly enjoyable, but hardly stress-free! Her father had become a stranger, she was conned into helping organize her high school reunion, and she was romanced by high school heartthrob Jack Brannigan, now a laid-back fisherman.
