Melody's Knight

The fiery, impetuous Melody Laurent, a recent transplant from Great Britain with a weakness for American cowboy movies and a secret panache for fencing, is completely smitten by the dark good looks of her neighbor Avery Knight, and is soon cooking up schemes (as well as sweets) to get his attention. Avery, a Southern Oregon boy most comfortable with his cowboy hat, boots and a disobedient pup named Barney, is a local fireman still smarting from a failed romance with the wrong girl. When Melody enters his life, he spends more time trying to rescue her from scrapes than putting out fires.
