Melange

Roderick, an ancient vampire, and his creation, Piers, are forbidden to be more than Sire and Child by the vampire King's edict, despite their love for each other.

Thrown into the mix are Piers' ghoul, Linden, who is infatuated with his young 'master', and Helmut, a wolf-shifter who has set his libidinous sights on Linden.

The two young men, sent to Roderick's huge estate to keep them out of trouble, find there is more there than meets the eye when they begin to explore the ruins of a castle destroyed by fire many centuries ago. For within it abides a creature bent on survival at any cost who will test the mettle, and the love, of two vampires, a ghoul and a shifter.
