Mastery of Deception

Bryce Descado is a hard-drinking violence prone man whose charismatic yet sociopathic personality alienates him from all but his close-knit circle of friends. When one of those friends (a former lover) claims she was raped, Bryce finally has an excuse to indulge his darker side, and what ensues is a brilliantly planned murder rationalized by justice. But when it's discovered that the rape itself might have been a lie, Bryce is pitted against his co-conspirators in a desperate race to see who will confess first, and who will die before they get the chance.
