Masks and Mirrors

Masks and Mirrors is a science fantasy novel taking place in a fantasy world with advanced technology. Two decades after the War of Unity, the Alkuridos regime of the gods, which runs the World Government, is facing the possibility of a fourth world inquisition. The world is not at peace. A fallen guardian of law and justice has assassinated a god and joined rebels, who want to regain power in the Parliament. Secular militants are attacking cities and plotting against the gods and rebels alike. Alliances and trusts are weak and unstable. The sixteen gods of the Alkuridos government must hold a conference and decide a course of action. Some seek to compromise and solve these troubles peacefully, while others feel that the only way to secure power and gain world unity is through the chaos and turmoil of war.
