Markie Dare

Markie Dare is a story about hard times and hard people, and a most unusual blind girl with incredible courage, endurance and strength of will. As the youngest of the Dares, she grows up fiercely protected and guided by her older siblings. Some who love her make gentle attempts at steering her toward conformity but she resists. To Markie, all aspects of life are a case of ride or die which makes for a bumpy journey but a hell of a story.
She survives an ambush, capture by evil men who would sell her into slavery, a Comanche attack and a personal struggle to fit in somewhere, with someone.
