Manchester House - a modern rewrite of To Sir with Love with an historic twist and characters inspired by Please Sir. A regency plague stalks Britain's white population and killing double the number of the original medieval plague. Britain's untouched Georgian black slaves and with a few white survivors adopt England and Wales as a new homeland. Forward to 1948 and the docking of the SS Windrush with immigrant Windies or White West Indians and looking to start a new life in Afro-Caribbean Britain. The White West Indians are met with racial prejudice due to their white colour but strive to overcome. Forward to the cusp of the millennium and White West Indian female Devon Clayton lands a job as a teacher at Manchester House school Whitmoreans Wolverhampton and where amid predominantly Afro-Caribbean prejudice and suspicion Devon embarks on illicit bisexual affairs and learns to gain racial respect before lustful rape on school leavers day.
