Shannon Kelly's move back to the lakeshore community of Winslow, New York wasn't exactly what she had planned for her future, but she was determined to make the most of it. She was steadily working to find her happy place there until a home invasion threw her life into chaos.

Kevin Stivers left Winslow only long enough to earn his medical degree. Taking over the town's small clinic was the highlight of his life...until Shannon landed in his waiting room. He remembered her from their childhood, but because of his parents' wishes, his desire for her had gone unfulfilled. Now he hopes for a second chance.

Trying to piece together the mystery of who had broken into Shannon's house lets them reconnect while current events keep them hopping and lead them to more questions with seemingly only one answer. Somebody isn't happy about Shannon making waves in Winslow.
