About This Book

When he killed Panamanian soldiers they gave him a promotion. When he killed Iraqi soldiers they gave him a medal for valor and a Purple Heart. When he killed an American soldier in self defense they sent him to prison.
Mahko Anaya was a born soldier and killer. It ran in his blood back to the time when the grandson of his namesake, the Apache warrior Geronimo, lived in the mountains and prayed for peace. When peace was denied him, he killed.
Mahko has a problem. While he serves his sentence his son is growing up hard with relatives who can barely care for their own on a reservation where too many drown poverty and desperation with cheap alcohol.
Fate brings him the answer. Mahko’s attorney is the son of his former commander. When Colonel Jack Christian is murdered the killer is put into prison with Mahko. Mahko can’t reach through the bars of his cell to help his son and Ian Christian can’t reach through the bars to touch the killer. Mahko and Ian can reach through the bars to shake hands, seal a deal and help each other.
Mahko's Price is the first book in the Mahko series. Book two is Mahko's Knife. The third book in the series is in editing for release soon.
I enjoyed getting to know and write Mahko's character. I hope the reader will get to like him and respect him as much as I do.
