Lucinda's Freedom

Miss Lucinda Williams has very rarely felt happiness. With an overbearing father dictating her every move, she finds herself longing for just a moment of freedom.When she meets Lord Wiltshire, a viscount and gentleman, Lucinda finds herself immediately drawn to him - but her father, instead, pushes her towards the arrogant Viscount Astley. When she continues to enjoy the company of Lord Wiltshire, much to her horror, he suffers a dreadful accident which she is certain is Lord Astley's doing. Fearing for Lord Wiltshire's safety, Lucinda pulls back from their acquaintance and resigns herself to a life with Lord Astley.Viscount Phillip Wiltshire does not like being pushed aside. His attraction towards Miss Williams is genuine and he is certain she has begun to care for him also, but now that she has pushed him away, Phillip is not certain what to do. Trying to learn a little more about Lord Astley, he soon discovers more than he ever imagined. In doing so, he realizes that Miss Williams is in great danger. But what can he do to help her when she is so determined to stay away from him?
