Ariadne Stoker came to the Colorado town of Creede with her sister, Regina, in hopes of starting a new life when their father died. They established a tea shop in town and have enjoyed success, but now that Regina is married, Ariadne feels left out and lonely. There are plenty of single men in Creede, but none of them are right for her.

Wendell Thurgood is a quiet businessman who has never participated much in society, but when he rents out a property to two pretty Englishwomen for the purpose of running a tea shop, he can't get one of them out of his mind.
