Life hasn't been kind to Jason, Pearl's brother's best friend and like a brother to her. After the tragic deaths of his parents, Jason puts his own dreams on hold and returns to run the family farm. But when Pearl witnesses inadvertently the breakup of Jason and his girlfriend Miranda, Pearl also takes the rejection to heart.

As Pearl and Jason are drawn closer together in these worst of times, Pearl is faced with a decision like no other.
