LOVERS and SCHEMERS

The novel begins on the eve of looming disaster - the payoff on decades of greed and excess. Orange County, California was a virgin waiting to be plucked. LAGUNA BEACH was a place of sanctuary with restorative powers; the pace was slower, the costs less, the beauties and pleasures more apparent. It was a unique geography soon propelled by its Lovers and Schemers into a roiling microcosm of social, sexual, political and financial explosions from the 60's through the 90's. Yet, before closing costs have to be paid, the alluring characters draw you back to their story's beginning when people were unhurried in needs or wants and believed all within their prospect was there for their contemplation and pleasure.
