After receiving a harsh lesson in the ways of love, Professor Barbara Door is in no mood to spend the summer running into her ex-boyfriend and his new wife. Figuring that what she needs is a close encounter of the meaningless kind, she heads to Wyoming to spend three months on a friend's cattle ranch.

When Barbara arrives in Wyoming, she finds just what she's look for – plenty of tanned muscled guys in cowboy boots. But she's also in for a few surprises. For instance, some cowboys play polo and some even own books. And sometimes, when you're in the market for lust, along comes love.
