Food critic Tate Wyler enjoys her solitary life. She eats at terrific restaurants, writes reviews and articles, and jogs with her oversized labradoodle pup, Ollie. Life is good…until Ollie decides to play matchmaker with her deceased neighbor's grandson. To make matters worse, the guy is her high school crush who never knew she existed.
Jay Hudson is eager to sell his grandmother's house so he can enjoy his Christmas vacation in Scotland. He's no longer in love with the fiancé who left him a year ago, but he needs a change in his life. The last thing he expects is an overgrown dog who won't leave him alone.
