Jazz Dupree, a gorgeous news reporter for Black Diamond Television, has sworn off rich and famous brothers. Having her heart broken by a two-timing Super Bowl champion several years ago was a lesson well learned. But when she meets super sexy Congressman Emmanuel Day while covering him for a special project for her network, Jazz is tempted to renege on the promise she's made to herself to avoid men of wealth and influence. For the charismatic, chocolate congressman from Atlanta, his initial meeting with Jazz is lust at first sight. He immediately makes plans to win her heart at any cost. But he soon learns that it won't be an easy task. He puts his smoothest moves on Jazz, trying hard to lure her in with his masculine magic, but his efforts are constantly interrupted by an obsessed woman with whom he shared a one-night stand with many years ago. She has decided that if she can't have Emmanuel, no one can. However, the more time the handsome congressman and the beautiful reporter spend together, the more explosive the chemistry between them becomes. Jazz and Emmanuel find themselves in a hot and passionate romance. But it is threatened by civil unrest in an African nation, relentless plots by the crazed woman from Emmanuel's past, and miscommunication.
