About This Book

Betsy Monger, recently widowed, is slowly returning to normality. However, running an art class to supplement her pension soon becomes rather less cultural than intended, when the uninhibited actions of her 'mature' students outrages Major Alex Barter, local pillar of society and bane of Betsy's life.

The fact that the deacon's wife volunteered to be the nude model, plus the sudden display of uncharacteristically militant behaviour from other class members when the Major threatens to close them down, does little to calm the situation. And that combined with an unwelcome, but very persistent, visitor who invites herself for an extremely protracted weekend, and a most unlikely Good Samaritan, all make for some interesting times around the village green.

And just when she'd almost forgotten what it was like to be in love, an old flame re-enters Betsy's life after a gap of thirty years . . .
