Loose Ends

The drive to round up as many head of Tyranobos -- enormous fire-breathing GMO "cattle" -- as possible and bring them back to Diablo Keep in the San Gabriel mountains of Southern California will leave today, though Batrix and Monty Eisenstein will remain behind at the keep for a two-week honeymoon, their first in the years since they married. Leroy, their son, will stay with Bill and Rachel Jamieson for the duration, as well. Leah Herzog and Paul Royer will depart today on the drive. Pat Wall will depart for Spokane, WA today, too, though he may well be able to visit the drive in a month or so. Old friends come to the keep after the drive has departed, while Batrix and Monty take a walk together into the desert north of the keep's airfield. Beginning tomorrow, the two of them will be alone together, getting to know each other all over again at a far deeper level than before.
