Living In The Offbeat

Veronica "Ronnie" Pierce thinks she has finally gotten her life back on track after surviving the breakup of her marriage. After a run-in with her boss, she turns to her best friend for advice, but that meeting results in Ronnie uncovering a betrayal she could never have imagined. She soon begins to question everything-and everyone she knows. Unable to deal with her life, she abruptly quits her job, and contemplates leaving Hampton Roads altogether. She travels to an island resort in the Dominican Republic for a getaway. There she meets Luis, a handsome, sexy stranger. They quickly become inseparable and Luis helps Veronica define the notion of Living In The Offbeat-a mindset that encourages her to embrace the life she is meant to live. Upon returning to Virginia, a mysterious woman contacts Ronnie with unexpected news from her past. The news reaffirms Ronnie's decision to give up everything, so she decides to go on a cross-country journey to California in search of the truth.
