About This Book

According to myth and legend an ancient Patriarch traveled to the North and West of his homeland. He was on a mission, he took with him an ancient stone, a well used harp, a man who was his servant/secretary and a princess. The many miles of his journey were endured by the old man in order to unite ancient tribes and heal a breach in a family of kings. However as with all things, man has his way and time turned over, as rocks on the shore, reveal all and every evil man could devise. Wars, battles, revisionism, all took their toll on the ancient truths till there was few left who could remember or carry forward the destiny and dynasty of the ancient calling. This story of an ancient race, it picks up the legend in the 10th Century with a kingly family determined to strive for peace. There is a child (and true to the ancient matrilineal descent she is a girl), one, which alone can aid in the struggle for peace. Linnea, born to the Pictii king is of both Scotii and Pictii heritage, from her womb alone must spring the ruler for both these peoples. A son from her would unite both nations and the many wars between the two would cease. A girl child born to be the bridge of peace between two nations must be protected to achieve her destiny. Her mother has other ideas.
