A socially awkward woman finds the courage to leave her home and reside at an inn in Canada while she figures out her life. With help, she decides to become a mail order bride and finds her intended traveling up to meet her with a couple of his cronies. Things start to go wrong as they all travel back to the U.S. and she calls upon a new friend with knitting needles, as a few more strangers join in the fray. This is a love story with many satirical and funny scenes.
