About This Book

LiLo: A Murder in New York is based on a true story, with the Hitler era as its background. Edgar, the main character of the story, is a young German who had attempted to dodge service in Hitler's army, was betrayed, and became a concentration camp inmate in 1942. Edgar survived and one year after being liberated in 1945 by the U. S. Army immigrated to the United States. His nemesis, a woman who had been working for the Nazi police and had brought about his incarceration in 1942, was found mysteriously murdered in New York seven years later. The detective availed himself of Edgar's assistance during the investigation that led to many dead-ends. The ultimate successful conclusion of the investigation and arrest of the murderer leads to a trial involving a clever lawyer, and a surprising ending.
