Life's Choices, the sequel to Santa Claus Don't Come To No Colored Girl's House, began in Snow Hill County, North Carolina during the early stages of the civil rights movement and continuing the journey of two biracial sisters, Myrtle and Sugar P. Jackson. It is 1963, ten years after mysteriously being abandoned by their Negro mother Rachel, when they were very young and by a twist of providence, the sisters unknowingly inherits the estate of their biological white grandmother, Stella Louise Hayden. By outward appearances, one would think they are white and living the life of luxury. The sisters are very rich and caught up in the overwhelming struggles of dealing with their newfound wealth. Unfortunately, the latter brought strangers in and out of their lives. Some is caring, some dangerous and often appearing like haunting ominous forms like that of their bigoted white uncle, Willie Hayden. Refusing to accept the truth that his grandmother Stella Louise Hayden and on her deathbed, intentionally left him and his younger brother Clemmons out of her will…to buy God's forgiveness. Deep down in his dark soul, not wanting to accept the realization that he must go on with his life and that the power, respect, and wealth that once came with the "Hayden's" name, no longer exists. Willie has made up his mind to do everything in his power to make Myrtle and Sugar's lives and anyone else who crosses his path, a living hell. Caught up on a roller coaster of raw emotions, suspense, power, greed, murder and mystifying events, will the two sisters make their choices in life, according to the color of their skin or the color of their hearts?
