Lies That Bind

Running, lying, pretending.All of my life, that's all I have ever known. It's how my family has survived. In those small spaces between the mundane day-to-day tasks. That's where most people make real connections with each other....Or so I've heard. I'm not allowed to make those connections. I'm not allowed to hold on to anything. These are risks. At any minute, we have to be ready to run. It doesn't matter how far we've traveled, or how well we hide, the madman always knows where to find us. It's as if he has some supernatural tracking power. How does he do it? The police can't help us. No one can help us. It's time to run again, but this time it's different. I've broken the rules, I know this. But, I don't want to let her go. I want to stay here and live my life, like a normal person. I can't take this anymore.He is the sole reason for all of this, and he will never go away. The only way to end this is to make him stop.So that's what I'm going to do.
