This book consists of two previously published works: "A Kiss Before I Die" and "Harsens Island". Both works center on Samantha Moretti, the daughter of slain FBI assassins. In "Kiss", Sam inherits a thirty-million dollar estate and a graphic, two-hundred page "explanation" of murder and revenge. "Harsens" is the follow up story to "Kiss": Cradled by the Saint Clair River, Harsens Island, Michigan is considered by many to be Paradise. Shortly after her arrival, Sam is drawn into a murderous conspiracy matching wits with a silver-tongued Indian chief, a lawyer with global allegiances, and an enigmatic Vietnamese woman. The deceptions multiply, the intrigue becomes deadly, and Sam ultimately discovers a secret worth killing and dying for.
