Letting Go

Maddie, a dedicated and somewhat obsessive mother of two, finds herself without a sense of purpose or personal identity when her children grow up and leave the nest. Her new loneliness is overwhelming. Depression and addiction are potent adversaries as Maddie struggles through this major life transition. The challenge of rediscovering herself is daunting. Due to years of marital neglect, Maddie and her husband Mark are estranged. He absorbs himself in work and finds consolation in his success. It isn't long before more alluring temptations threaten to pull him away from his family for good. When tragedy strikes, can Maddie find a new sense of self and the strength to salvage all she holds dear? Sometimes the price of moving forward is letting go.
