Letters from Mom

Every man in my family has gone into the military. I'm expected to follow along with entering the service and have little to no choice in the matter.What I really want to do is go to college, play baseball and football, and not worry about whether or not I live up to the legacy of men in my family. I won't sabotage my military career and get myself kicked out. However, I also know I'm going to stay in for as long as I need to with my team. We're a unit and I'm not going to be the one who breaks up a good team. Will my dad get over his need for me to follow in his footsteps?
