Attending the quiet second marriage of her own father, Claire wondered despairingly what was delaying her own wedding. She and Grant Hewitt had been engaged since February. Now it was May and ever since his mother's death in February Grant had been reluctant to fix a date for their wedding. — Some mystery from the past was destroying their happiness and making Grant restless and miserable.
