About This Book

At a two large universities it was discovered that a few people had a slight variation from the norm in perceptual traits. Some in the U.S. government thought this perceptual trait might have some value, especially to the military. So, experiments began to see if the traits could be artificially created through gene modification. The experiments were successful, but experimenters didn't get exactly what they expected, so they discontinued the experiments. A few scientists continued they tracked the children of the experiment. The modification held true in the children and grandchildren; it was now a permanent couple of genes on their DNA. News leaked, fables and rumors were created, tabloids wrote stories, and the army decided to contain the problem. It was already getting out of hand, so a rogue commander of an army regiment decided to exterminate them. And then, the murderous Colonel decided he should exterminate all those who inherently had these traits. The 'naturals' had been in America and elsewhere for a long time, and they were not willing to submit to this 21st century Holocaust. This story is about that war and the collateral chaos that resulted.
