Legacy Denied

Journalist Hannah Seton is investigating a series of murders in the town of Cold Creek that she feels must somehow be related. In some way or another, they have all affected someone she is close to, her adoptive mother, Carolyn Seton. She seeks the help and advice of Detective Jeffrey West. Detective West is brutal and to the point. Carolyn Seton is his prime suspect in the murders. Forced to face the facts, Hannah is afraid he may be right. Almost immediately an attempt is made on Jeffrey's life, followed by an attempt to sabotage Hannah's car. Neither attempt seems to be connected to Carolyn. In order to keep her safe, Jeffrey leaves town with Hannah only to find they have been followed. As they seek to stay alive long enough to unravel the mystery, they find they must add more and more victims to the original list.
