More than the mail is posted when the Overland Mail coach is raided by bandits at Raton Pass. One man is killed, and all hands point to Gunn after Carrie Logan, the victim's hysterical, but heavenly, daughter singles him out as the man who pulled the trigger. The sheriff's posse wants to string him up right there—and Gunn ends up in jail charged with a crime he didn't commit.



Gunn is not one to take things lying down, but before he even gets a chance to work out an escape plan, his cell is stormed by an angry mob. Luckily he survives, which leaves him with only one problem: convincing Carrie that he is not her father's murderer. His life depends on finding the solution—and he guesses he'll have to pull more than one trick from his pocket...
