About This Book

Josh Slade, private detective possessing a special deputy U. S. Marshal's badge, is called upon to bring about a halt to the robberies of the Walsenburg to Durango stage. His skills not only as a detective but as an adept gunman along with his "take few prisoners" attitude precedes him. He begins this task by getting out where the dirty deeds are done, riding shotgun on the stage. His tenure atop the stage is short lived when he devises a method of tracking the outlaw to their nest. Discovering the outlaws' lair has dire consequences and Slade barely escapes with his life. But escape he does, only to return another day with a motley crew to wreck havoc on the robbers. Busy he may be, providing early retirement for lawbreakers, but he is still a gentleman. Being a gentleman, he is duty bound to entertain a couple of ladies along the way.
