He was the man chiefly responsible for wresting the crown from the feeble Henry VI and setting up his cousin, the Earl of March, as Edward IV. Edward, however, was not the politically inept young man that Warwick believed him to be and his marriage to Elizabeth Woodville alienated almost the entire Neville family.
