About This Book

Loosely based on actual events, this is a story about Lali, a beautiful young Burmese woman who escapes from a brothel in northern Thailand and is befriended by an American entrepreneur who brings her to California. After many adventures, she finds herself lost in the Sierra Nevada foothills and is taken in by a group back-to-nature campers that have embraced Native American ways. Lali's story offers quirky insights and comparisons of cultures, most notably; - Southeast Asian with U.S. - - Burmese with Native American - Woven throughout the story are behind-the-scenes glimpses of the sexual bondage business that goes on within Thailand and Burma.
