You look at me and see an uneducated, ditzy, washed up waitress with a temper that can't be controlled and a mouth that would make a trucker blush. I'll admit I'm what some might call 'difficult'. But you know what I'm not? Bulletproof. I'm not indestructible. I wasn't dipped into a mystic river at birth or bitten by a bug, giving me superhuman powers. Nope. The girl who blends into the background once you pick up your fork. I'm nobody. However, that wasn't always the case. A decade ago, he thought I hung the moon. He thought the placement of the constellations was a direct result of me dancing through the cosmos. I was his angel. And then, when I least expected it, he proved to us both that I am indeed NOT bulletproof. Now, he's back, strutting around town like he owns the place.
