When Ben discovers he is adopted, he is determined to find out who his ‘real’ family are â€" but why does he want to be ‘committed’ to Knockmore, a residential farm for ‘troubled teens’? What does he hope to learn there?
The Knockmore experience turns out to be more than he bargained for. Amid cows, rescued horses and random hens, Ben finds some unlikely friends â€" lovely but moody Lauren, explosive rebellious Frank and mysterious silent Heath. Together, they teach him that the world doesn’t owe him any favours.
Then Ben stumbles upon a startling fact and realises that Knockmore has secrets of its own â€" dangerous ones. In trying to uncover them, Ben may also unlock the secrets of his past â€" and find out not only who he is but who he can become.
