About This Book

As Kitty sits by the window, she spies a baby bird on a tree branch nearby that she is tempted to have for herself and waits for any opportunity to capture it. On this warm summer day, Kitty finds a way to escape. Unaware of this danger, the mother bird continues to teach her fledgling how to fly and watches its attempts closely. Kitty sees the baby bird teetering on one of the branches high above the ground and slowly, quietly, approaches the tree where the fledgling is struggling to regain its balance. Suddenly, mother bird spots the cat crouched down below, bracing to lunge forward in anticipation of this tiny bird's fall. What will its mommy do now to try and save her baby? Find out what's in store for all and the lesson to be learned from the moral of this story.
