Kingstree Island

In the summer of his twenty-first year Brandon Rhodes came to Kingstree Island, a four-hour boat ride from the mainland and a tiny world unto itself. He found an easygoing, friendly people, a land where he could escape the memory of his mother's death, and a young woman he could love.
