Erak had found his mate and he'd rejoiced. That was until she'd turned from him and rejected him completely. His plan was to pursue her relentlessly, but his position as king had interfered. Finally things were settling and he was able to do as he wished. His mate didn't stand a chance.
Tomi had felt disappointed over and over. First she'd been misled and taken off planet to a strange world. Then Erak turned out to be a king, something he'd kept from her. Finally, he'd been discouraged so easily. Now he was back and he thought she'd fall into his arm? Ha, so wasn't happening.
