The heavy door bolt slammed shut. Josephine's bartender Robert handed a large envelope to Kincade. "A big man said to give you this right now ‘cause it's important."

Kincade took a dinner knife and slit the envelope, pulling out one sheet of paper. His eyes quickly scanned the first few lines.

In a barely audible voice, he whispered, "Oh no..."

Josephine's eyes widened. "What is it?"

Kincade placed the letter on the table and put his hand over hers. "Murder." He looked at the letter, then back to Josephine. "It's from Wyatt Earp. Doc Holliday has been murdered."
