There are many professed sources for the slogan, KILROY WAS HERE. It Seems like Kilroy was everywhere in World War Two. Kilroy became the US super-GI who always got there first — wherever GI's went. It became a challenge to place the logo in the most unlikely places. It was said to be atop Mt. Everest, the Statue of Liberty, the underside of the Arch de Triumph, and scrawled in the dust on the moon. It's even on the World War Two memorial in Washington, DC; and said to be on Grants Tomb, the Lincoln Memorial, and on the Green Monster at Fenway Park in Boston. This is a story about how I remember him.
