About This Book

Ranz took quick steps over towards the ladder, the excitement clearly visible on his face. He was about to do it. He was about to leave the Empire behind and take back control of his own life. But then he heard the sound again, the light rustling of debris. This sound was followed quickly by another clear sound, and Ranz pieced together what it was. A footstep. Ranz stopped and turned around. Though it was dark, the limited light left a silhouette. An outline of someone in pale armor, larger than himself, and holding a long E50 Sniper rifle. With the amount of noise that was made, it was no surprise to Ranz whose voice followed. "Where are you going, S?" Cutter asked, his voice stern and pointed. Ranz was not sure how to respond. He stood in place, silent for a moment. He could not precisely fathom the reason why Cutter had not already shot him. He had no doubt guessed what was happening. But at this point, Ranz had come to far to stop. "It's Ranz." He answered strongly. "My name is, Ranz." *** The Battle of Siria devastated more than just the Wehrmacht. The horror of the battle has haunted Khawarij Merc Recon Sniper KM-481, aka 'Shooter', and nothing has been the same for him since. All because of a single shot that he fired.
