Killer Instincts

Kate knows that getting involved with a man only recently separated from his wife may not be the best idea but she just can’t help herself. With root beer colored eyes and a smile that could charm a nun out of her habit, Michael Abernathy (aka “Mr. Fantastic”) is exactly what every girl dreams of (minus the crazed and jealous soon-to-be-ex-wife). When the ex-wife, Marissa, suddenly vanishes into thin air, the obvious suspect is Michael. Kate has to endure countless hours of interrogation and public scrutiny as Michael’s “mistress” all while trying to be supportive to Michael who has now become persona non grata in their small island community and, increasingly, across the country. The case even draws the attention of prosecutor turned victims’ advocate/TV personality, Grace Fields. Things bode even worse for both Kate and Michael when Marissa’s body washes up on the beach. Plagued by headaches which are accompanied by bizarre blackouts, Kate is determined both to prove Michael’s innocence and find out exactly what it is from her past that is causing these episodes. But will the answers bring about Michael’s redemption, or will they spell disaster for Kate?
